I will be researching into this fine painting 'The Genius of Greek Poetry' by G.F.Watts to do a 2 minute talk at the newly opened Watts Gallery in Compton, Surrey. My first impressions are : a small painting but none-the- less striking by the use of complimentary colours of blue and yellow and the main figure is so beautiful it looks almost sculptor-like. Will post more comments once I have done my research.
